Melissa married Jacob Silas Haney on July 22, 1906 in Lafayette Co. MS. She died before July 1909 near Paris, Lafayette Co. MS. Her parents were Thomas Granville Dalton and Sarah Elizabeth Asbell. I am fairly certain that she was married prior to Jacob Silas Haney. In the 1906 Educable Childrens book for Lafayette Co. MS, Jacob Silas Haney had children living with him that we not his. More on those names later....Melissa's sister was Susan Dalton Starnes #52897591 buried in Lafayette Co. MS.
