William was the son of W.H. Bristol (born in NC) and Eloisa Johnson (born in NC). He married Emma Trent Warden on July 27, 1888, McKinney, Texas. She preceded him in death one year ago. They had 5 children. He is survived by 4 children: E.C., Mobile, AL; Eloise Bristol, Santa Fe, NM; Mrs. James L.
