Divide Farmer Buried Saturday Funeral service for Millard Filmore Blair, 70, Divide stock farmer, was held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Divide Baptist Church with the Rev. Dean Elkins, pastor, and the Rev. T. J. Sparkman, Lamar Street Baptist Church pastor, officiating. Mr. Blair's death at the Sweetwater hospital at 4:40 p.m. Friday followed a four-day illness. A native of Georgia, Mr. Blair was born May 6, 1870 and came to Texas in 1895, settling near Weatherford. He had lived in Nolan county 12 years. He was a Mason and Eastern Star, belonging to the Weatherford chapters. Surviving are three sons and a daughter, James E. Blair and Robert L. Blair of Sweetwater, the latter employed by the City Water Department, Henry H. Blair of Santa Monica, Calif., and Mrs. D. R. Patterson of Lubbock. There are six grandchildren. Pallbearers were Herman Phillips and J. W. Welch, Sweetwater and R. B. Jones, Grady Jones and W. B. Hammond of Divide. Yates Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements and burial at Slaters Chapel.
