Funeral services for Olin J. Hill, 96, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 5, 2006, at the Wills Point Church of Christ with Mr. Shawn Williams and Mr. Jay Mince officiating. Interment will be at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point. He passed away early Friday morning, November 3, 2006, at his residence. Mr. Hill was born December 3, 1909, in Gilmer, Texas, the son of William T. Hill and Ella Jenkins Hill. He was raised in East Texas and later moved to Dallas. On February 14, 1937, O. J. was married to Helen Lucille Hooten in Durant, Oklahoma. He retired from National Life & Accident Insurance Company after twenty-five years of service. He later worked for American General Life Insurance Company as a district manager and was also employed in men's clothing sales for several years. He lived in Abilene prior to moving to Wills Point eleven years ago to be near his daughter. He was a faithful member of the Wills Point Church of Christ. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen Hill on November 18, 2004; two brothers, Ernest Hill and Fred Hill and a great-granddaughter, Hannah Grace Moore on February 23, 1992. O. J. is survived by his daughter, Judy Mince & husband, Bill, of Wills Point; two grandchildren, Jay Mince & wife, Liz, of Wills Point and Robin Moore & husband, Paul, of Austin; three great-grandchildren, Sam Moore, of Austin, Fraser Mince, of Wills Point and William Mince, of Wills Point; two nieces and two nephews. Pallbearers: Larry Jackson, Doyle Ethridge, Dwight Keith, Felix Massey, Glynn Ellis, Mark Turner and Keith Pearson.
