Bio
Elizabeth was the daughter of Thomas Patterson & Hannah Elizabeth Ammerman. Her mother died shortly after giving birth to Elizabeth. Her father then married Christen Cutter in Wayne Co., Ohio. The family moved to Effingham Co., Illinois about 1853. Elizabeth was first married to Richard G. Rodman in Effingham Co. on October 19, 1862. I haven't found what happened to Richard yet, he was serving in the Civil War. She then married Harvey Joseph Hewitt on June 4th, 1869 in St. Joseph Co., Indiana. Elizabeth and Harvey had 7 children: Laura B. Baker, John Emerson Hewitt, Clara Dell Lynn, Anna Geannette Hovey, Elmer Sylvanias Hewitt, Cora Mae Aubrey & Lizzie Hewitt. She was my great grandmother.
