Funeral services for Joe Charles Marik, 74, of East Bernard, Texas, Thursday, June 18, 2015, Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard, Texas, at 10:00 am, with Rev. Don Ruppert celebrating the funeral mass and Rite of Committal. Joe passed away on June 14, 2015 in Sugar Land. Visitation, Wednesday, June 17, 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in East Bernard. Pallbearers: Jonathan Mayfield, Joshua Mayfield, Dylan Marik, Nick Marik, James Pustka and Darryl Harvey. Honary Pallbearers: Aidan Marik, Ethan Marik, Cade Gavranovic, Lexi Marik and Shelby Marik. Joseph Charles Marik was born on March 20, 1941 in East Bernard, Texas to parents Joe F. Marik and Adella Chernohorsky Marik. He attended East Bernard High School. Joe worked as a Construction Manager for a steel building company. He married Elaine Saha at Holy Cross Catholic Church on June 17, 1967 and was a member of the Wallis Knights of Columbus and Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard. Survivors: wife, Elaine Saha Marik of East Bernard; daughters, Kristen Mayfield of East Bernard; sons, Kevin Marik and wife, Kelly, of Wallis, Kerry Marik and wife, Wendi, of East Bernard, Keith Marik and wife, Michelle Barone, of East Bernard, Klay Marik and wife, Tracy, of East Bernard; sisters, Dorothy Pustka of Wallis, Cecilia Slansky of Sealy, Genevive Sandoval of Fort Worth, Patsy Blasé and husband, Gary, of East Bernard, Bernice Cavness and husband, Billy, of East Bernard, and Tillie Alford of East Bernard; brother, Victor Marik and wife, Carol, of Houston; grandchildren, Johathan and Joshua Mayfield, Dylan, Nick, Aidan, Ethan, Lexi, and Shelby Marik, and Cade Gavranovic.
