Bio

Calvin Leon Eubanks or Leon, as he was referred to by most of his friends was born June 2, 1926 in Stonewall, Oklahoma to C.R. and Augie (Gentry) Eubanks. He departed this life in Pryor, Oklahoma on December 9, 2012 at the age of 86 years 6 months and 7 day, with his family by his side. A Veteran of the United State Navy, Leon attained the rank of Seaman 1st Class and was on the third ship that entered Tokyo Bay to pick up Prisoners of War during World War II. Leon was married to Lillie Marie Sexton on July 28, 1946 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They moved to and made Pryor their home in 1967. Leon worked as the Safety Coordinator at N-REN Corporation until his retirement. He and Marie were always together and loved to go to garage sales and flea markets. Leon enjoyed Sand Bass fishing, helping his son Roy with his race cars and just "tinkering" with different projects. Leon enjoyed his time spent with family, but the limelight was being able to spend time with his grandkids. Leon was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Marie Eubanks on October 12, 2012, his parents and three sisters. He is survived by his daughter and husband of Miami, son and life partner of Big Cabin, grandchildren, as well as five great grandchildren.
