DIMMITT - Funeral services for David Seaborn Bruton, 91, of Dimmitt, will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the First Methodist Church. The Rev. Weldon McCormick of Midland, former pastor of the church, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Jim Pickens, pastor. Burial will be in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery by Dennis Funeral Home. Mr. Bruton died Wednesday afternoon at the Lockney Nursing Home. He was born in Parker County and had lived in Dimmitt for 41 years. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include two sons, Maj. Vernon Bruton of Fence Lake, N.M., and Dan S. of Dimmitt; two daughters, Mrs. R.C. Morgan of Portales, N.M., and Mrs. Dale Widener of Lockney, 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
