Thelma "Marie" Smith Edwards 1943 - 2016 Early Life: Marie was born August 26, 1943, to Mark Everett Smith and Thelma Ward Smith, their second child. She was raised in Vineyard, Utah, attending school at Union Elementary School, Lincoln Junior High and graduated from Orem High School. Life's Work | Service | Interests: While attending Orem High School, Marie met her future husband, Allen K. Edwards. Following high school graduation, she married Allen on August 18, 1961; their marriage was sealed August 18, 1964. They had eight children together: Raymond, Robert (Minerva), Marjean Fernandez (Dennis), Roy (Julie), Judilyn Pearlman (Joel), Roger (Emily), Patricia and Laurlee Baxter (Marty). She has 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Thelma Marie Smith Edwards passed from this life June 5, 2016. She was 72. Survived By: Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded In Death By: Her sweetheart, Allen; father, mother and sister, Ella Mae McGee.
