VIRGINIA BRIDGEWATER, 83, of Snyder, Okla., died Sunday, October 29, 2006, in Lawton, Okla. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the First Assembly of God, Snyder, Oklahoma. Burial will be in the Mountain Park Cemetery under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home of Snyder. She was born June 21, 1923 at Tipton, California, and moved with her family to Oklahoma when she was three months old. She married John Bridgewater at Cordell, Oklahoma, on March 19, 1943, and they moved to Snyder in 1981. He preceded her in death in 1986. She had worked for the Department of Human Services and Elk View Home Health Care for thirteen years. She was a member of the Snyder First Assembly of God Church. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Emma and Donnie Harman, Ft. Worth, Texas, and Carolyn Stapleton and Bill Dickson, Snyder; nine grandchildren, Larry and Tammy Stapleton, Granbury, Texas, Sheila Royster, Ft. Worth, Texas, Mark and Sandie Stapleton, Clinton, Oklahoma, William and Debbie Harman, Ft. Worth, Cherie and Joe Dickson, Jeremy and Leann Bridgewater, Carla and John Vaughn and Sidney Dickson, all of Snyder, and Billy Ray Fields, Las Vegas, Nevada; a brother Marvin Boyles, Lake Ellsworth, Oklahoma; two sisters-in-law, Stella Claypool, Snyder, and Viola Reece, San Jose, California; 22 great- grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Her parents, Charles and Tenny Boyles, a son, Ricky Bridgewater, a grandson, Kenneth Stapleton, two sisters, Irma Coleman and Laverne Roberts, and a brother, Philip Boyles, preceded her in death.
