(Oklahoma Statewide Deaths Published Tuesday, September 19, 2006 in The Oklahoman) * DUNEGAN, Gladys, 97, homemaker, died Sunday. Graveside services 2 p.m. Wednesday, Albany Cemetery (Brown's, Durant). Services for Gladys Dunegan, 97, of Albany, who passed away Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006, at her residence, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Albany Cemetery Pavilion. Rev. Fred Waldrep and Marty Hutchings will officiate. Gladys was born November 1, 1908, in Rochelle, Texas, to William L and Ida (Counts) Young. Gladys attended school in Wade, and on March 13, 1927, married Bill Dunegan in Wade. Her hobbies included reading, cooking, and taking care of her beloved family. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ida Young; her husband, Bill Dunegan; granddaughter, Melinda Dunegan; sisters, Minie, Allie, and Bertha; brothers, Hugh, Marvin, John, and Ernest. Survivors include daughter, Muriel Dansby of Sherman, Texas; son Dale Dunegan of Albany; daughter, Nelda Compton of Yuba; son, Stanley Dunegan of Albany; grandchildren, Bradley Dansby, Clint Dansby, Sherry Newell, Jimmy Dunegan, Willard Dunegan, Kevin Dunegan, Jerry Dowd, Tommy Dowd, Hope Hutchings, Angela Dunegan, and Melinda Dunegan; great-grandchildren, Garrett Dansby, Garth Dansby, Scott Dansby, Maurice Dansby, Aaron Dunegan, Jeremy Dunegan, Cody Dunegan, Corey Dunegan, Tamara Smith, Amanda Dunegan, Eric Dunegan, Chelsey Dunegan, Daryl Dowd, Alan Dowd, Lisa Stanglin, Jason Dowd, and Paiget Paxton; great-great-grandchildren, Kambria, Brandon, and Bryce Dansby, Kurstie and Kyle Dunegan, Ashton Dunegan, Kyle Dowd, Riggin and Rylee Stanglin, Deanna, Shaylane, and Dakota Smith, Gavin and Jasmine Eubanks, and Mason and Khloe Dunegan; many other relatives and a host of friends. Family hour will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Interment will be at Albany Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at [email protected] .
