Mr. Don Maxwell, 66, of Scroggins, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016, in Tyler, Texas. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro, with Pastor Chase Smith conducting. Interment will follow in Clearwater Cemetery in Franklin County. Don was born in Tulia, Texas, to the late Albert Maxwell and Marie Baxter Maxwell. Don worked at Keller’s Creamery as an Assistant Coordinator. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Sharon Ann Courtney Maxwell, of Scroggins; daughter, Whitney Akin and husband, Tim, of Farmersville; grandchildren: Elizabeth Akin, Dakota Akin, Anne Akin, Alexander Akin; great-grandchild, Chevelle Edwards; sisters, Trisha Bailey and husband, Jack, of Amarillo, and Becky Henry and husband, Dave, of Big Springs; other relatives and many friends.
