Margaret E. Rose passed May 25, 2016. Visitation, 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Angelus Chapel, with rosary to follow. Pueblo Chieftain Mon May 30 2016 & Wed June 01 2016 Margaret Rose, 93, passed peacefully in her Pueblo home on May 25, 2016. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Nell and Clarence Richie; her sister, Betty (Dale) Wyckoff; and her son, Robert (Beth Towell) Rose. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, A.D. Rose; daughters, Nancy (Frank) Lawrence, Kathy (Blair) Williams and Carmela (Elroy) Worner; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchild-ren. Margaret was born Sept. 21, 1922, in Corsicana, Texas. She was a missionary schoolteacher until she met the love of her life in 1947. They enjoyed traveling with their children and finally settled in Pueblo in 1965. She retired from The Pueblo Chieftain in 1984 after 17 years as a bookkeeper. Margaret was a deeply loving and faithful woman known for her devotion to God and love for family. She and A.D. sang in the Spanish Choir at Holy Family and held weekly prayer groups in their home. Together, they authored two books for Catholic publication, and she took photographs for A.D.’s articles for the Catholic Chronicle. A viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 3 at Angelus Chapel, with rosary to follow. The funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 4 at St. Mary Church.
