Bio

Clinton MO, Sep 1923 - Mrs. E. A. Hunter, born at Cole Camp 87 years ago, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dora Streiby, on North Orchard street, Saturday evening. She is survived by the following children, all grown: H. E. Hunter, Sedalia; J. C. Hunter, Wilmington, California; Mrs. Laura Counselman, Clinton; Mrs. George Richmon, Brownington; Mrs. Rosetta Peelor, Eugene, Oregon; Mrs. Dora Streiby, Clinton. She was the grandmother of Clyde Hunter, on North Second street. Her husband died about 30 years ago. At one time they owned about 600 acres of land at Mt. Zion, and on one corner of which is the Methodist church and cemetery, which was donated for both by deceased and husband. The husband was buried there. The funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon by Rev. E. T. Raney, at the Mt. Zion church, and the remains of the sainted mother, who had, for so many years, been a member, were laid beside her husband. Obituary information courtesy of LaDon Brennan.
