Bio

Doris Cunningham, 76, was the daughter of George Lewis Arie and Jimmie Idessa Mulden Arie. She was born on March 30, 1939 and was raised in Blue Ridge, Texas and was a member of the Church of Christ. Doris was a very fun and loving person, and her family was very special to her, as well as her pets. She loved to read, enjoyed doing puzzles, and loved to sing, but the two things she loved to do the most were roller-skating and dancing. Doris worked for many years at US Brass in Plano, Texas in the plating department and really loved working with chemicals. Doris was called to her heavenly home on January 5, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Idessa Arie; as well as her grandparents. She was survived by her daughter and son-in-law Sheryl and Edward Garrison of Blue Ridge, Texas; her two pets, Cuddles, her sweet cat, and Archie, her loving dog; and many friends and relatives. Services were held at Charles W. Smith Funeral Home chapel in McKinney, Texas, with Pastor Jim Bowling and David Scott assisting with the service. Interment was in the Blue Ridge Cemetery in Blue Ridge, Texas.
