Bio
Ken was born on the farm in Des Moines River Township. He was the son of George W & Elfreda Anderson. He attended rural school and graduated from Westbrook, MN. He farmed and also worked for Lee Motor Sales and Massey Ferguson farm equipment with his brother and after his brother, Leland, passed, he sold real estate in Arizona. Ken enjoyed traveling, golfing, and playing cards. He traveled to Alaska, Canada, London, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Mexico, Hawaii, and the Panama Canal. Being an avid baseball fan he also visited many baseball stadiums including the Yankee Stadium, Milwaukee, Comiskey Park, Houston Astrodome, Hollywood, the Met Dome and the Met Stadium. He traveled throughout 40 states in the United States. He spent his winters in Arizona and summers in Minnesota in Prior Lake, MN the past year. Kenneth passed away at Friendship Manor at the age of 93. Ken is survived by two brothers: John Anderson and George Anderson, and one sister, Clarine Schaeffer. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews, 17 great nieces and nephews and 25 great-great nieces and nephews. Also his good friend and traveling companion, Terry Newman. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers: Russell, Alan, Maxwell, and Leland and one infant brother. Also by two nieces and one nephew.
