Steyer, Ivan L., Sr. , 80, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Mon., July 9, 2007. Beloved husband of Geneva A. Steyer (nee Sheahan) and the late Zita Steyer (nee Sercl); dear father of Tom (Patty), Gary (Mary), Lollie (Vic), Mark (Sheryl), Linda, Kevin (Aggie), Keith (Dawn) and the late Ivan (Elise) Steyer Jr.; dear brother of Alfred, Olga Allen, Ann Hill, and the late Emil, Joe, Frank, Alvin, Hattie Hladky, and Louise Grenemier; dear grandfather of 18 and dear great-grandfather of 18. Mr. Steyer served proudly in the U.S. Navy from Jan. 5, 1945 to Dec. 16, 1947. He was a calibration technician for McDonnell-Douglas for 20 years and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie No. 254, Alton, IL. St. Louis Post-Dispatch (St. Louis, Missouri) 11 July 2007
