Oral Taft Hughes, age 85, died Sunday, August 7, 1994, in Washington County, Arkansas. Oral was born October 25, 1908, in Washington County, Arkansas, the son of John Wellington and Frances Madelin (Hutchens) Hughes. He married Emma Lee Stout September 2, 1933. He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant daughter, Taffy Diane Hughes. He is survived by his wife; two sons, A.J. Hughes, and Darrell Lee Hughes; and five daughters, Oleta Wilson, Barbara Dell Caudle, Velma Byram, Thelma Hutchins, and Sandra Cuff. Burial will be in Black Oak Cemetery.
