Joann Board, 59, of Junction City died at Geary Community Hospital on May 16, 2016. Memorial services will take place at the Junction City Church of the Nazarene on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Kevin McDonald officiating, inurnment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions have been designated to Home Care and Hospice at Geary Community Hospital and the Junction City Church of the Nazarene. Joann was born January 12, 1957 in Japan to Gerald and Yoko (Sakagami) Board. For many years she was a store manager in the retail industry. She is survived by her dear friend, Carl McQuiller; sisters, Karen (Steve) Roles and Linda Sample all of Junction City, KS; her children, Adrian Board and Ashley Board both of Junction City, KS; nieces, Suzanna Sample, Desiree (Josh) Brown; nephews, Jonathan (Amber) Sample, Joshua Sample all of Junction City, KS and Christopher Roles of Lees Summit, MO, her grandson, Jamarie Porter and several great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Dove Cremation & Funeral Service in Junction City, Kansas is assisting the family with arrangements.
