Sylvia Jewell “Judy” King, age 88, of Mena, passed away Monday, September 21, 2009 in Mena. She was born March 2, 1921 in Vandervoort, Arkansas to the late John William Hogan and the late Sylvia Gordon Hogan. She was a member of H.O.P.E. and the VFW Auxillary. Mrs. King was a loving homemaker, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Survivors are: Husband: Buel King of Mena, Arkansas Daughters: Margie Robertson of Dallas, Texas Bobbie Brewer of Monroe, Wisconsin 5 Grandchildren 5 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Sylvia Hogan and a son, Gary Leon Brewer. Funeral services will be Friday, September 25, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Seveth Day Adventist Church in Mena with Pastor Daniel Kaffenberger officiating. Interment will follow in the Pinecrest Memorial Park under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, September 24th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Steve Brewer, Barry Brewer, Robert Blake, Leslie Hagin, Mike Subit, and Buel King.
