Bio
Kathryn Marie Daugherty, 92, of Van Buren, died Saturday, October 3rd in Van Buren. She was born January 6, 1923 in Rudy, AR to the late John Harvey Dillon and Ida Belle Fine Dillon. She was a member of the Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church in Van Buren since 1963. In addition to her parents, Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ray Daugherty, her sisters Fannie Coatney, Rena Peters, Robbie Dillon, Oma Peters, Willie Gilstrap, Reba Baker and Margaret Bredrick, and a brother Reo Burkhart. Graveside service will be at 4:00 pm Monday, October 5, 2015 at Newberry Cemetery near Alma, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren. Kathryn is survived by her daughter Brenda Asher and her husband Gary of Van Buren, her grandson Mark Asher, granddaughter Kim Altman and husband Lee, great-granddaughter Shaylee Altman, and two great grandsons Asher Altman and Andrew Altman, all of Van Buren.
