Married Jun 15 1921 Ord, Valley, NE ------------------------------------------- Burial Services Here Wednesday for Mrs. Hansen Long Time Arcadia and Ord Woman Died Monday after Lingering Illness Burial rites are being held at the Ord cemetery this (Wednesday) afternoon for Mrs. Nels J. Hansen, of Grand Island, who died at her home there Monday after a lingering illness. The funeral service was to be held at 1:00 pm at the Geddes Funeral Home in Grand Island, after which the funeral cortege left for Ord. Mrs. Hansen was born Sept. 14, 1899 at Minden, Nebr., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Jensen. In early childhood her parents moved to Arcadia, where she grew to womanhood and graduated from the Arcadia schools, later teaching school in that neighborhood. Her marriage to Nels Hansen, of Ord occurred on June 15, 1921 and Ord was the family home until 1942 when they moved to Grand Island. Baptized and confirmed in the Danish Lutheran church she transferred her membership to the Methodist church in Grand Island. She was also a member of Truth Rebekah Lodge No. 132 of that city. Besides her husband she is mourned by one daughter, Leola Mae, at home and a son, Wilford, of Grand Island, by one granddaughter, Sharon Kay, and three sisters, Mrs. Esther Jensen, Wayne, Nebr., Mrs. George Nass, Arcadia, and Miss Ruby Jensen, Omaha, as well as by two brothers, George and Benny Jensen of Loup City.
