Gladys Fricke, 86, formerly of Ceresco, Nebraska, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2016 in Waverly. She was born on August 16, 1929 in Brainard, Nebraska, the daughter of James and Otilla (Hanis) Lanc. Gladys was a homemaker, and volunteered at the library in Ceresco for 12 years. Family members include: her children, Sharon Buzzell, Sandra (Steve) Styskal, Steven Fricke (Loretta Sampson), Sharlene (Larry) Matulka, and Sonya (David) Matulka; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Marie (Vernon) Belik; and brother, Elmer (Mildred) Lanc. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Christopher; daughter, Sheila Fricke; son-in-law, Earl Buzzell; and brother, Adolph Lanc. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, May 16, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 17360 N. Third Street, Davey, Nebraska, with Father Joseph Bernardo officiating.
