Bio
Glenda Ruth Weems, 60, of Winnsboro, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at her home with her family by her side. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2016, at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 15, 2016, at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro with Bro. Richard "Nub" Brown conducting. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery in Winnsboro. Glenda was born in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, to the late Joe Dan Clay and Patsy Jane Arrington Clay. She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Weems; and sister, Linda McElwrath. She is survived by her sons: Brandon Weems, of Winnsboro, Dob Weems and wife, Louanna, of Winnsboro, and Nathan Light, of Winnsboro; daughter, Tonya Smith, of Winnsboro; brother, Tommy Clay and wife, Teresa, of Paris; grandchildren: Timber, Kaylee, Joshua, Brookelyn, Jeanna, Brittany; great-grandchildren: Zoee, Zaine, Brynlyee, Blakelie; sisters, Brenda Powell Stone and husband, Tony, of Winnsboro, and Kristy Biedenharn of Gilmer; other relatives and many friends.
