Bio
Kathleen Louise Lindquist, age 73, of Marengo, passed away after an over 20 year, courageous battle with cancer on May 4, 2016 at Golden Living Center - Court Manor in Ashland. She was born January 30, 1943 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Robert and Dagny (Helander) Bren. Kathleen married her high school sweet heart, Dale Lindquist on January 25, 1964 in South Dakota. She worked as the office clerk for Gibson's and later Pamida in Ashland. She also was the bookkeeper for the Wild Cat which she owned and operated with her husband and daughter. Kathleen's favorite things to do were playing Skip Bo and Yahtzee with her good friend Sandy Otto and watching John Wayne movies. She loved being with her family and spending time with her friends. She is survived by her daughter, Tracy; grandson, Vance; sister, Jean Bohn; brother, John Bren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband of 52 years in death by two days, besides Dale she was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Vance. A celebration of Life for both Kathleen and Dale will be held at Dale's Wild Cat Inn at a later date. Burial will be held in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Ashland. Arrangements are by Frost Home for Funerals of Ashland.
