Betty Jo Morfeld Sorensen, 73, of Big Piney, Wyoming passed away peacefully after an extended illness in Pinedale, Wyoming Monday May 2, 2016. Betty was born January 3, 1943 in Sidney, Nebraska to James Joseph and Ruby Lila (Dilly) Morfeld. She attended school in Kimball, NE and married her sweetheart Warren E. Sorensen August 25, 1958. Betty was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Big Piney; she enjoyed sewing, reading, camping & hunting. She was also a very good cook and had a love for music. She is survived by her husband Warren of Big Piney; children Anna Setser & good friend Lloyd Duran of Big Piney; Marvin (Ranae) Sorensen of Big Piney; Scott (Lani) Sorensen of Evans, CO; Timothy Sorensen (Krista Fidler) of Brighton, CO and Joseph (Miranda) Sorensen of Brighton, CO; two brothers Jarrold Morfeld of Gillette, WY and Jack (Donna) Morfeld of Squim, WA; two sisters Barbara (Phil) Lambert of Oklahoma and Donna (Tim) Hottel of Gillette, WY; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, niece, great-granddaughter and two sisters. © Sublette Examiner May 9, 2016
