Obituary from The Herald Leader, Sunday, 18 April 1993, page 2. NOAH SHELLEY Albert Noah Shelley, 84, of colcord, Okla died Friday, April 16, 1993. He was born on Feb 28, 1909, near Mosley in Delaware County, Okla. He was the son of Bart and Ardelia Thompson Shelley. Mr Shelley was a charter member and deacon in the Mosley Regular United Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer and plumber. Mr Shelley married Mildred Whitmire on June 26, 1929, in Tahlequah, Okla. The couple had three children. She preceded him in death on July 19, 1982. He married Ola Wood on Sept 6, 1983 and she survives him. Survivors include his wife, Ola; two sons, Max Shelley and Jerral Shelley, one daughter Larrayne (sic) Trammell, all of Colcord; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, two great-great-granchildren, 10 step-children, 30 step-granchildren, 29 step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Beulah Braden of Cleveland, Okla and Opal Huffman of Siloam Springs, and many nephews, nieces,. . . . relatives and friends. He was preceded by one step-son. Services will be held April 18, at 2:30 pm at Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel. Burial will be conducted at Allen Cemetery near Colcord, Okla. Elder Melburn Samuels and Elder Loyd Johnston will officiate the services under the direction of Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.
