Bio

One of the early settlers of Baldwin County, Alabama, Jose' Antonio Suarez was the son of Francisco Suarez and Mary Josefa Antonia Rodriguez. He was confirmed 1798 by the Mobile Catholic Diocese. He married Elizabeth (Foster) Villar on July 15, 1819 in Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama. Elizabeth died in 1835. His second marriage in ca.1837 was to Jane Ann Saffen in Baldwin County, Al. He died in Baldwin County, Alabama on October 22, 1868, and is buried in the Old Spanish Cemetery, Lillian, Baldwin County, Alabama.
