Father: Allen Young Bean Mother: Elizabeth Kissiah Arnold Bean (1st wife of Allen Y. Bean) FUNERAL FOR W.H. BEAN IS HELD TODAY Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o’clock for W.H. Bean who passed away yesterday after a lingering illness. Services were conducted from the family home 5 miles east of Coupland, TX, by the Rev. Charles L. McClain, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Taylor and interment was made in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Elgin, TX. Mr. Bean was born in Jackson County, Alabama, October 19, 1870, and was married to Miss Sallie C. Allen, August 22, 1890. They came to Texas shortly afterward and settled in Bastrop County. Later they moved to Williamson County where they have resided the past 33 years. Mr. Bean was a Christian man having professed religion, and uniting with the Baptist church in his youth. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Odd Fellows and was well known throughout the Williamson County. He is survived by his widow and the following children Charles A. Bean Coupland, Texas; W. Cecil Bean Maywood, CA; Mrs. Joy Lee, Manor, TX; Mrs. Walter Klaus, Taylor, TX; Mrs. Joe Nelson, Coupland, TX; Mrs. Ira Simmons, Hare, TX; and Mrs. Virgil Loney, Austin, TX, eleven grandchildren, one brother, Lee G. Bean, Coupland, TX, three sisters Mrs. R.M. Davis, Temple, TX; Mrs. Jennie Sanders and Mrs. Newton Matthews of Scottsboro, AL.
