Dorothy L. (Wright) Conrad 1931 ~ 2016 Dorothy Lydia (Wright) Conrad passed away at a Boise hospital on Monday, April 25, 2016. She was born in Lyman, Nebraska to John Jacob and Marie Elizabeth Schlagel Kautz. As a baby, her folks moved to Idaho and eventually to Weiser where she grew up. Dorothy married Samuel D.L. Wright on July 19, 1948 in Weiser, Idaho. Her two children, Nadine and Darrel, were born there. In 1954, they moved to Emmett when Samuel started working at Boise Cascade. She did a lot of canning and making jams. Dorothy also enjoyed doing a lot of sewing. She worked for many years in the Sanders Packing Shed and later at the Emmett Valley Packing Shed. Dorothy and Sam did a lot of square dancing and round dancing going to many out of state festivals. Sam passed away with cancer in 1996. She later met and married William H. Conrad on December 26, 1999. Dorothy is preceded in death by her daughter, Nadine ReNae Goslin; her first husband, Sam; her parents, lots of aunts and uncles, five brothers and one sister. She is survived by her husband, William Conrad; son, Darrel (Karen) Wright; three granddaughters, Cynthia Ann (Andy) DeLeon, Dawn ReNae (Darren) Hroma and Barbara Denise (Randy) Ward; three great-grandsons, two great-granddaughters and two great-great-grandsons. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Emmett with committal services to follow at the Emmett Cemetery. Viewing will be held Friday, April 29, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett.
