Daughter of John & Katie (Benda) Ptacnik. Married: 1937 to Emanuel Weverka. Married: June 1971, to Leonard Shively; he died in May 1999. Lived in Kearney; was a longtime employee and buyer for Ruter's in Kearney. Had been a resident at St. John's Center for two years Activities: active in the community; member of St. James Catholic Church. Survivors include: her son, Lanny Weverka of Sargent; daughters, Kay Hoppes of Burwell and Vicky Hoppes of Kearney; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
