John Wilcox Bennett 1927 - 2016 Early Life: John was born February 2, 1927, in Bingham Canyon, Utah, to Jonathon Eslie Bennett and Alta Mae Wilcox Bennett. Life's Work | Service | Interests: On January 22, 1947, he married Vida Ashton in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Vida passed away January 5, 2000. John worked at Geneva Steel for 42 years in the central maintenance. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served in many callings, including a counselor in the bishopric and as a temple worker. He and Vida served two missions in the Alabama Mobile Mission. John Wilcox Bennett passed away April 16, 2016, in American Fork, Utah. He was 89. Survived By: His children: Marcia (Johnny) Siebert, Les (Diane) Bennett, Hal (Jamie) Bennett, Marty Bennett; 14 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; sisters: Zola Dupass, Ada (Craig) Mortensen; and five brothers-in-law.
