Wife of Harley E. Pugh. Mother of Carol and Judy Hood County News, Saturday, October 31, 1987, page 7B, obituary: Ora Gladys Pugh, 79, of Granbury, died Sunday October 25. Graveside services were held Tuesday, October 27 at Holly Hills Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Hiram Johnson. Mrs. Pugh was born March 14, 1908 in Brown County; and married Harley E. Pugh on September 16, 1939 in Leavenworth, Kansas. She lived in Granbury for the past 17 years. Mrs. Pugh retired from teaching after 35 years and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #530 of Granbury. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Granbury. Survivors include her husband, Harley E. Pugh of Granbury; two daughters, Carol Ann Burgess of Bracketville and Judy Lewis of St. Louis, Missouri; two sisters, Avyce Fitzgerald of Richland Hills and Lillian Bell of Hurst; three brothers, Horace West of San Angelo, Roy West of Colleyville, and Homer G. West of May; and five grandchildren. Services were directed by Martin's Funeral Home.
