From Vaughan's Funeral Home Betty Joan Kuehn of San Antonio, Texas November 22 1942 - March 13 2016 Betty Joan Kuehn, 72, passed away on Sunday, March 13 2016. Born on November 22, 1943 in Dexter, NM, she was the only child of the late Sam and Delean Bradley. In 1961 she graduated from Will Robers High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Upon graduation she attended Evangel College in Springfield, MO where she met her future husband, Seth Kuehn of Bazine, KS. After marriage on August 22, 1964 the couple resided in Hays, Kansas where she finished her BA degree in English education at Fort Hays State College in 1966. After teaching and farming for several years, Seth and Betty moved from Kansas to San Antonia, TX in 1980. During that time, Betty worked as USAA for 16 years retiring in 2005. Upon retirement she served as a volunteer at Daily Bread Ministries for 7 years. Betty was a devoted wife to Seth and she took delight in spending time with their family: son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Becca Kuehn and their three children, Katelyn, Aspen and Zachary; and daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Larry Gormley and their two children, Daniel and Bethany. Also surviving are her nephews, Bryan Barry, Tim Brown, Randy Brown and Vyrl Brown. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 16 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The memorial service will be on Thursday, March 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Cross Mountain Church, 24891 Boerne Stage Road, San Antonio, TX 78255. Graveside services will be at Noon on March 17 in the Boerne Cemetery.
