McLean Last rites for John D. McLean, resident of New Liberty, who died Monday at his home were conducted Wednesday at the Berlin Baptist church with Rev. R. F. Dennis and Rev. W. C. Klopfenstein officiating. Mr. McLean was born March 22, 1870 in Scotland and in 1898(sic) he was married to Miss Florence Oehm at Braynard,(sic) Neb. They came to western Oklahoma and settled west of Berlin where they lived until 1907 when they moved to their present home. He had been a member of the Baptist church for many years. He is survived by his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Louise Lawrence of Sayre, Mrs. Ruth Brewer of Grimes, Mrs. Mary Lou Reel of Fort Worth, Mrs. Nellie Ewton of Satana, Kan., and five sons, Percy and Bud of Sayre, William of Grimes, John D. jr., of Pampa, Carl C. of St. Joseph, Mo. Other survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Mary Keefe of Patterson, N. J., Mrs. Katie Satterfield of Taylor, Neb., and Mrs. Emma Vanderheiden of Elgin, Neb. Committal was in the Berlin cemetery with the Littrell-Scroggins funeral directors in charge. Bearers for the rites were Wilburn Carnahan, James Hines, Harvey Sanders, Forrest Baker, Arthur Reynolds and Orland Matthews.
