YOAKUM - Dorothy Ray Immenhauser Moore, age 94, passed away Friday, April 8, 2016. She was born February 12, 1922 in Concrete, Texas to the late Gottlieb and Johana Elise Eckhardt Immenhauser. Dorothy was a lifetime member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Yoakum, Pilot Club and Yoakum Garden Club. During her 28 years in Yoakum public office, she was Deputy City Clerk, before becoming the first female City Clerk with additional responsibilities as Local Registrar, Tax Collector and City Court Clerk. Survivors are daughter, Kathryn Moore Elgood and husband Ross of Victoria; sons, Rex Moore Jr. and wife Linda of Victoria and Michael Moore and wife Cathy of Phoenix, Arizona; 4 grandchildren, Debbie Barley (Mike), Sara Moore, Rex Moore and Laura Elgood; 1 great-grandchild, Lauren Barley; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rex Moore Sr.; one sister and four brothers. Visitation 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, April 11, 2016 at Thiele Cooper Funeral Home. Funeral Service 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with Pastor Sarah Shanks officiating. Burial to follow at Hochheim Cemetery. Pallbearers are Ronnie Moore, Mike Kolar, Todd Helwig, Roger Immenhauser Jr., Luke DeBord, Kaleb DeBord and Dirk Moore. Arrangements by Thiele Cooper Funeral Home, 361-293-5656.
