Bio
Catherine Lillie Smolka, 78, passed away on April 5, 2016, at Regent Nursing Home in The Woodlands, Texas, from recent illness. Funeral Liturgy Outside Mass will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2016, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis with Father Henry Drozd officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Catherine was born in Ennis, Texas, to the late Joe Smolka and Mary Knize Smolka. She was preceded by death a sister, Ella May Valek. Survivors include her sister, Mrs. Mildred Alumbaugh, of Carthage, MO.; nephews: Danny Alumbaugh, Gary Greer, Mike Greer, Mark Valek, and Jeff Valek; nieces: Linda Pechal, Loretta Valek, and Kim Valek Martin; other relatives and many friends.
