Gobble Father of Local Men Dies at Age Of 74 J. A. Gobble, 74, died at his home north of this city on Thursday morning of this week at 4 o'clock after an illness of more than three years. Mr. Gobble had been blind for almost eight years. He is survived by his widow, five sons, Ed, Adam, Tasso and John Gobble, of this city; Gus Gobble of Lewis County; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Liles of Florence, Ala.; Mrs. Annie Patterson of Alabama; Mrs. Willie Staggs of Wayne County and Miss Jessie Gobble, of this city. Funeral services were arranged to be held at the Fish Trap Cemetery on Friday of this week, with North Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. *********
