MRS. SNYDER, ROSCOE, DIES Roscoe, May 28 - Mrs. Amanda Snyder, 73, resident of Nolan County since 1916, died Thursday about 6 p.m. at her home here after suffering a heart attack. Mrs. Snyder was born May 7, 1881 in Robertson County and was married on Oct. 27, 1896 to L. L. Snyder. Mr. Snyder, a Roscoe Carpenter, died on Oct. 15, 1944. The couple moved to Roscoe from Abilene. Mrs. Snyder was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include five sons, Homer Snyder of Brownwood, Lewis Snyder of Roscoe, Joe Snyder of Crane, David Snyder of Sweetwater and Othel Snyder of Loraine; three daughters, Mrs. T. C. Turk of Sweetwater, Mrs. Cecil Grittian of El Paso and Mrs. T. E. Autrey of Sheffield; one brother, Tom Gann of Sylvester; and one sister, Mrs. Emma Snyder of Brownwood; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. in the Roscoe Church of Christ. Lemoine Lewis, minister, will officiate. Burial will be in Roscoe Cemetery under direction of Wells Funeral Home. Grandsons who will serve as pallbearers include Forrest Snyder, Glen Snyder, Kenneth Snyder, Durwood Snyder, Thomas Turk, Don Snyder and Eddie Autrey.
