Bio

Albert Stephen Kubala, 87, of El Campo, passed away March 31, 2016. He was born on August 18, 1928 in Galveston to the late William and Bertha "Betty" Schipula Kubala. He was U.S. Army Veteran and a retired welder. He is survived by his loving wife, Georgia Cykala Kubala of El Campo; sons, Steven Kubala and wife Jane, Mark Kubala and wife Melinda and Bill Kubala and wife Sloane, all of El Campo; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Dorothy Kubala of El Campo. Albert was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, George and Robert Kubala. Visitation begins 2 pm Friday, April 1 at Triska Funeral Home with a Wake Service beginning at 7 pm. Funeral Mass begins 2 pm Saturday, April 2 at St. Philip Catholic Church with Rev. Frances Nguyen officiating. Burial with military honors under the auspices of American Legion Post 251 will follow at St. Andrew's Cemetery in Hillje. Pallbearers are Chris Kubala, Philip Kubala, Quinten Kubala, Kaid Kubala, Nick Kubala and Reid Renken.
