Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Monday at Coker Mathews (sic) Chapel with Chaplain John Connor officiating. Burial is at Forest Park cemetery (sic). Born April 4, 1909 in Brashear, she was the daughter of R.W. (Hay) Mooney and Rosa Lee McNeely Mooney. Mrs. McKay was a graduate of Brashear High School and East Texas State University with Bachelors and Masters degrees. She taught in public schools for approximately 42 years, 15 years as principal and 27 years as a classroom teacher. She retired from the Greenville Independent School District in 1975. She was a member of Kavanaugh United Methodist Church. On November 23, 1944 she married Leo Somers in Dallas. He preceded her in death April 12, 1955. ON (sic) July 24, 1956, she married Gill D. McKay in Sulpher (sic) Springs. He preceded her in death April 12, 1960. Mrs. McKay is survived by several nieces and nephews including Bruce Mooney of Bayton, OKla. (sic) and Khomattee Preston of Mesquite. She was preceded in death by her husbands, five brothers and five sisters. Visitation is form 1-6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
