#1from obituary published in The Pilot Tribune, Tuesday, 29 March 2016 Ruth Elizabeth was born on May 12, 1936 in Ainsworth, Nebraska the daughter of Howard D. and Elizabeth A. (Starks) Fletcher. She graduated from Ravenna High School in 1954. On March 2, 1954 she was united in marriage to Sam Bedke in Council Bluffs, IA. She moved to Omaha, Nebraska, and later Blair, Nebraska, where she raised her family. Ruth worked as an alcohol and drug abuse counselor in various places. In 2001 she retired to Blair to be closer to her family. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities, reading, politics, watching baseball, and playing bingo. Ruth Elizabeth (Fletcher) Bedke, age 79 of Blair, Nebraska, died March 27, 2016 at Crowell Home in Blair. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Marlene (John) Warrick, Julie (Monte) Flynn, Teri (Mark) Otte all of Blair, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sisters Mary Jo (Marlin) Tillman and Evelyn Speicher of Shenandoah, IA, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Charles and Dean Fletcher, daughter Debbie, and two sons-in-law Rich Warrick and Jim Reyzlik. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 30th at 10:00 AM at Country Bible Church in Blair with visitation 1 hour prior to service. Burial will follow at the Blair Cemetery.
