Bio

Jim Roy Dodd “PAPA”, 74 of Caddo, OK and formerly of Lavina, Montana passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016 in Durant. Jim was born on October, 16, 1941 in Tolleson, Arizona to Newell Roy and Ida Mae Stacy Dodd. Jim married the love of his life, Helen Ann Jayroe on January 22, 1963 in Pescadores, CA. He proudly served his Country in the United States Army from 1961-1963 until his Honorable Discharge. He was a talented musician and he dearly loved his family and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Beverly Faye Dodd, sister Betty Shaw and brother Roy Crutchfield. Jim is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Helen Ann Dodd of the home; daughters, Tammy Rebecca Dodd of Caddo, OK and Helen Orlene Dodd of Bennington, OK; sons, James Roy Dodd and wife Gwendolyn of Billings, MT and Albert Dale Banick and wife Jacquie; grandchildren, Jesse James West and wife Ashley of Atoka, OK, Felina Lou Orlene Borchardt and husband Cody Borchardt of Caddo, OK, Felicia Faye Larkins of Denison, TX, Brittaney Nicole Schneider and husband Allen of Billing, MT, Frank James Dodd of Caddo, OK, Anita Theresa Dodd and husband Charles Hayden of Caddo, OK and Samantha Keller-Reynolds of Lavina, MT; 21 great grandchildren; mother in law, Theresa Jayroe; brothers, Frank Dodd and wife Norma, Dale Dodd and wife Estelle, Tommy Dodd, Alvin Sheffield, Samuel Jayroe, Rocky Jayroe and Jim Jayroe and numerous extended family and friends. Graveside services ~ Monday, March 28, 2016 at Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, OK. with Bro. Donald Bishop officiating. Brown's Funeral Service, Durant, OK
