Son of Hezekiah and Cynthia Caroline (Lewis) Blankenship. Wed first to Margaret Louise Russell 4 Dec 1890 in Collin County. Children: Infant male, Mary W., James, Eva Ruth, Iva Mae "Ivy", Elvin Elmer Houston, Infant Blankenship. Wed second to Laura Francis Neal, 2 May 1909 in Collin County, Texas. Children; James Earnest, Nancy Mildred and John Edward "Johnnie" Blankenship. --by June 2006. John Houston was born 23 July 1860, so did not show up on a census until 1870 with his stepfather John Henry Scates, mother and siblings. He was mentioned in the Laclede County, MO, 1868, pension for minor child of H. Blankenship. --by G. Mounger (46931367) 9-28-24 with father link.
