Alfred was the son of William A. (Bud) Ray & Margaret Catherine Morrison. He married Mable Claire Copeland (daughter of Isaac Copeland & Sarah Keeton) 5 December 1909 in Wayne Co., TN. They had 4 children: Floyd, Ruby, Reba & Cecil.
