Graveside services for Jack Allen Davis, age 69, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Gafford Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Don Tinsley officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016. Pallbearers will be Tony Nichols, Roger Jones, Steve Kane, Christopher Betts, Allan Wayne Davis, Jr. and Dewayne Scott Baker. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Dyer, David Baxter, Tom Gulledge and Jerry Gillem. Mr. Davis passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler. Mr. Davis was born on July 24, 1946 in Sulphur Bluff the son of Joe Bailey Davis and Loreen Thompson Davis. He married Kathleen LaValley on July 19, 1974 in Sulphur Springs. She survives. Mr. Davis owned and operated J&E Hauling and was an air condition technician for many years. He was of the Church of Christ. In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Allen Wayne Davis of Holly Lake, step-sons, Christopher Betts and Robert Hester Betts both of Sulphur Springs, 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Dennis Allen Davis, brothers, J. B. Davis and an infant brother, sisters, Betty Patterson, Dolores Pyer, and Judy Friddle.
