Hamilton was my big brother. Not always perfect but always loving and had a deep love for his family. He was a Navy veteran (1960-1964). Ham was extremely talented in both mechanical and electrical professions. With his abilities he secured employment at ASARCO in El Paso (precious mineral smelter) where he worked his way up to chief engineer. After the closing of ASARCO Ham retired, worked several part time jobs then retired full time. Working at ASARCO had its downside. 35 years of inhaling deadly fumes on a daily basis destroyed Ham's lungs and heart. Sadly the last few years of Ham's life were spent attached to oxygen and very little movement as he could not breathe. I was blessed to have talked with him on Christmas Eve (2 days before he passed) and it was a wonderful and spiritual talk. It was almost like Ham knew he was leaving this life because we talked for 2 hours about old times, family and the blessing of love in the family. Towards the end I started calling Ham "The Old Cowboy" because he spent his entire life in El Paso and fit the description perfectly of the old west cowpoke. Ham was predeceased by his son Danny and his Mom and Dad (Hamilton and Peggy). He leaves his beautiful wife Deen, son Eddy, daughter Debbie and step-sons Paul and John. Loving brothers Ron and Bill. Like I said, Ham wasn't perfect but he was my brother and I loved him.
