Obituary from Telegram Tribune, 9/24/1988: Vera H. Rowe, Morrow homemaker Vera Harriett Rowe, 72, of Morrow Bay died Thursday, Sept. 22,. 1099 at a San Luis Obispo hospital. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday at the Cayucos-Morrow Bay Cemetery, Judy Kamaitis will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Benedict-Rettey Mortuary in Morrow Bay. Mrs. Rowe was born July 16, 1916, in Wichita, Kan. She was a homemaker and a resident of Morro Bay since 1946. She was a past member of the Kern County Grange and the Royal Neighbors. She is survived by her husband, Herbert Rowe of Morro Bay; a son, . . ..; a daughter, . . . ; a sister, Thelma Gibbs of Kansas; eight granchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
