21 OCT 2021, Incoming transfer, sighted, added gender. 02 APR 2024 SAC with obituary. ∼ Paul was born March 14, 1936 in Cave Springs, AR to Morris Everett and Evie Mae (Pierson) Thomas. He passed away September 21, 2015 in Sperry, OK. Paul loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Paul loved all kinds of sports and enjoyed going to watch his children and grandchildren play in their sporting events. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Thomas; children, Paula Holland, Rick Thomas, and Michael Thomas and Becky; grandchildren, Brad Holland and wife Krystle, Steven Holland, Denton Holland and wife Shelly, Shelley Wear and husband Mark, Michelle Wagner and husband Josh, Crystal Jackson and husband Aaron, Blake Thomas, and West Point graduate, 2nd Lt. Jake Thomas of the U.S. Army; great-grandchildren, Kaidence Holland, Tanner Holland, Ashley Holland, Kaylee Holland, Turner Bass, and Tracy Bass; sisters, Delores Allison-Buchan and Wilma Story; sister-in-law, Louise Thomas; special people in our lives and brother and sister by choice, Maezella and Robert Bailey; daughter by choice, Kathy Lovvern. He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Evie Thomas; brothers, Billy Thomas and wife Lois, Gerald Thomas and wife Shirley, Hershel Thomas, Andrew Thomas and wife Sarah; Raymond Thomas, J.D. Thomas, and Esco Thomas and wife Pat; sister, Loretta Woodruff and husband Zenith; brothers-in-law, Roy Story, Ira Allison and Harry Buchan; son-in-law Dennis Holland and daughter-in-law, Sharon Thomas. The family would like to thank Millennium Home Health, Right At Home Health Care, and all of the wonderful people who took such good care of Paul. Funeral services for Paul Thomas, 79, of Sperry, were held Saturday, September 26, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Sperry, OK. Reverend Brandon McCombs and Reverend Andy Anquoe officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were Brad Holland, Jake Thomas, Steven Holland, Blake Thomas, Denton Holland and Aaron Jackson. Honorary casket bearers were Buddy Kennedy, Frank Smith, James Bryan and Al King.
