Erma E. Thomas Myers Hall Morgan March 21, 1918 ~ March 11, 2016 Erma Morgan, 97, of Hillsboro passed away March 11, 2016 in Whitney, Texas. She was born March 21, 1918 in Aquilla, the daughter of Nat D. and Nellie Rose Kirkpatrick Thomas. She was raised in Hill County and lived here her entire life. Erma and her late husband, Leslie Hall owned and operated Hall Grocery Store in Peoria for over twenty years. Erma has been a member of Peoria Baptist Church since 1953. She was a kind and giving lady who loved to feed and take care of others. Erma could always be found helping out with church luncheons, dinners and feeding neighboring children breakfast before they went off to school. She was famous throughout the Vaughan and Peoria communities for her sour dough biscuits and was very meticulous about her work, home environment and how she treated others, so much so that the pecan trees in her yard did not dare to drop a leaf in her presence. A wonderful and precious lady not only to all that knew her, more importantly in the sight of her Lord. Preceding her in death were her parents, 3 husbands; Frank Myers, Leslie Hall and Henry Morgan, 8 brothers and sisters and grandson, Bryan Schronk. Survivors include her 3 children; Shirley Davis, Debbie Schronk and Charlotte Myers, grand children, 11 great grand children, 1 great great grandchild and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
